Two of the biggest names in the crypto world Bitget and Avalanche have announced a major partnership aimed at accelerating Web3 adoption across India.
Bitget, one of the world’s leading crypto exchanges, and Avalanche, the high-speed smart contract platform, are combining forces to empower India’s rapidly growing blockchain community. Their goal: to support grassroots innovation, educate the next wave of Web3 builders, and fuel the country’s booming startup ecosystem.
Avalanche has already been making strong moves in India, rolling out mini-grants and collaborating with government agencies on blockchain-driven welfare initiatives. Meanwhile, Bitget is investing heavily through its Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her programs, pledging $10 million over five years to support education, hackathons, scholarships, and women-led Web3 projects.
The partnership kicked off with the ‘HODL ON’ tour, hosting meetups in Delhi and Bangalore that drew a strong turnout from developers, entrepreneurs, and blockchain enthusiasts. More events are planned throughout 2025, targeting cities across India.
“India’s Web3 community is incredibly strong,” said Devika Mittal, Regional Head at Ava Labs. “Our focus is to provide real spaces for builders wherever they are to connect and create.”
Bitget’s South Asia Head, Jyotsna Hridyani, added: “Education is key to unlocking blockchain’s true potential in shaping India’s digital economy.”
With India already ranked first globally in crypto adoption and second in Web3 developer talent, Bitget and Avalanche are betting big on the country’s future. Their joint initiatives aim to double India’s number of Web3 startups by the end of the year through grants, mentorship, and global exposure.
In a time when Web3 innovation is gathering speed, this collaboration could mark a major turning point for India’s blockchain journey.
